Phat ot fat

~blog post #4~ April 16, 2015 By McKenna Kaminski Health implications or health benefits??? While discovering the topic of health implications on Italian food all I could come up with are the beficial parts of Italian food! Italian cuisine features dairy products, oils, good carbs, and plant foods. During a study in 2008 called "Clinical interventions In Aging" Italian food provides certain nutrients needed to prevent certain chronic diseases. A healthy italian recipe is mushroom soinach stuffed shells http://www.foodnetwork.com/healthy/packages/healthy-every-week/healthy-international/healthy-italian-dishes.html I think the italian diet is very similar to americans but everything there is fresh and nutritionally made and i think thats where we differ. I think thats why America has suvh high obesity rates. #grapefoodbloggers

  1. I really like how you talked about the benefits of Italian food. Coming from an all Italian family I know all about the use of good oils, and plants such as basil and whole wheat pastas. It does not surprise me that Italian food is known for being so beneficial!

  2. I like how you compared American food to italian food! It is so true that america is obese because we do not prepare anything fresh. We should be more like Italy since they receive a great amount of nutrients from their fresh food. I liked how you found out that Italian food is more beneficial than causing health issues.
