Puerto Rican holidays are similar to The catholic Holidays with different names. For example they celebrate 3 kings day( almost like our Christmas) They will have the usual foods but with make a full pig for their whole family to enjoy. During easter they also have pigs along with ham and games that americans do as well. For the rest of the holidays the also eat pig as the main meal even during Thanksgiving. But the one thing that sticks out that is different to the U.S during weddings they take time out to allow the husband and wife to do dances which include the salsa, merengue, and the bachata. Throughout the day they listen to music and dance as they cook or do something with the family. It can basically be defined as family bonding non stop.

  1. Interesting they use a lot of pig. Sounds fun to dance while cook.

  2. Sounds like they eat a lot of pig! It makes me wonder how some Jamaican people stay healthy.
