Feasts that people celebrate are Holidays that are celebrated in the United States. An example of this is Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. A very common dish for all three of these in the south is cornbread. Cornbread has been a very popular dish in the south for a long time.  Feasts in the south always have family there. That is a huge part of these feasts. A very common theme in the south is southern hospitality. This means that they treat everyone with respect and open arms. I went to a feast for Easter in Georgia a couple of years ago. The family I was with, that I have never met before, welcomed me with open arms. The connection between food and family is such a huge aspect of southern food and the culture they have
