France is
known all over the world for many things: the Eiffel Tower, the culture, and
also the beautiful mountains and oceans surrounding it. But France is also very
popular for their variety and quality of their food. I have always been
interested in France. Having never been there, I do not know much about the
food and culture. I hope to find out about food from here other than what I
initially know. As I am researching some facts on France and food, I realized
it is very different than our society. During lunchtime, everything, except for
restaurants, closes from noon until two in the afternoon. People in France take food pretty seriously
around here. During breakfast, their meals tend to be like ours, but for lunch
and dinner, it is very different. Lunch tends to be a three-course meal and can
last for two hours. Dinner is about the same, but there possibly can be more
course meals than three. France’s geography is very unique. It is about the
size of Texas, full of plains, mountains, and also an ocean. I believe that
this landscape can give France a variety of food. They can eat seafood from the
ocean surrounding them, raise animals on the plains, or also grow fruits and
vegetables. The weather is mild during the spring and autumn, while summer is
very warm. I think that this also contributes to the variety of food around
here. Overall, France is very big on their food culture and I am excited to
learn more about it!

I really like how you talked about the extent of lunch and dinner in the French culture. It's very interesting that it can last for up to two hours. I also really like how you talked about the environmental scenery of France so that the whole post wasn't completely centered on food!
